Thursday PM Local Alert Weather Forecast

KTVZ

Good evening Central Oregon and happy Thursday!

Hot and sunny out there for us once again across the high desert.

This evening we look to see the winds pick up across the region, out of the north at 10-15 MPH gusting up towards 20 MPH at some points.

That wind looks to die down through the overnight hours but it will pick up once again tomorrow afternoon and evening.

There is a fire weather watch set to go into place Friday afternoon and carry through the evening hours due to the high winds and dry conditions that we are expecting to see.

Thursday was a hot one out there with temperatures in the upper 80s to 90s for us!

We are going to see that trend carry through to the weekend as well.

Overnight tonight lows will be warm out there in the 50s to 60s.

Then tomorrow we look to heat up even more, with temperatures in the mid to upper 90s, and some areas in Central Oregon will be pushing 100 degrees.

We look to have clear skies for the most part through the weekend, we could see a few clouds early Saturday morning before they burn off, but otherwise there will be plenty of sunshine!

We aren’t going to be cooling down anytime soon, we stay in the 90s through the weekend and into next week as well!
