7-year-old’s lemonade stand raises $4,500 for Bethlehem Inn

Olivia Salvesen, a 7-year-old second-grader, has made a big difference for Bethlehem Inn. For the second year in a row, Olivia has raised support and awareness for Bethlehem Inn with lemonade stands set up at the annual Central Oregon Builder Association Tour of Homes.

This year’s Tour of Homes featured a special opening celebration of Bethlehem Inn’s new Family Residence and Service Hub. Wanting to continue her tradition and support of the Inn, Olivia hosted a lemonade and iced coffee stand outside of the new building. She and her mom, Bethlehem Inn Capital Campaign Chair Heather Salvesen, shared their delicious homemade cookies and cool beverages for all to enjoy.

Thanks to the generosity of her friends, family, Miller Lumber, Backporch Coffee and Sparrow Bakery, Olivia had the perfect lemonade and coffee stand for all to enjoy. And thanks to everyone who stopped to sample a treat and learn more about the Transforming Lives Together campaign, over $4,500 was raised in support of Bethlehem Inn’s capital campaign!

“We thank Olivia for this very special effort, as well as everyone who supported the Inn through her lemonade stand,” says Bethlehem Inn Executive Director Gwenn Wysling. “We are touched to see community members of all ages rallying behind this campaign!”

The Family Residence and Service Hub is the first of two buildings planned by Bethlehem Inn. Construction on the second building, which will provide shelter and services for single adults, is scheduled to start in August. $8 million of the $9 million Transforming Lives Together campaign has been raised to date.
