Local Alert Weather, Wed. AM, 8-15-18
Good Wednesday Morning, Everyone…
Most regions across the High Desert will see air quality at unhealthy to moderate levels today. With a little monsoonal moisture pressing in from the south we can also expect to see a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms later in the day. Highs will be in the low to mid 90’s and breezes will be light and variable. Under partly cloudy skies tonight lows will be in the 50’s with NW breezes at 5-10 mph.
The chance of showers and/or thunderstorms will extend into Thursday, especially for areas to our east. From there, our daytime highs will be staying above average through the rest of the week and the weekend ahead. The smoke will continue to permeate the region as long as wildfires in Oregon, Washington, California and Canada continue to burn.
