KTVZ

Good Tuesday Morning, Everyone…
A powerful ridge of high pressure is forcing the jet stream well to our north and that will mean clear, sunny skies for us today. Highs will be a little warmer, topping out in the mid 70’s. NE breezes will be pretty gentle at 5-10 mph. Clear skies tonight will help our temps drop to the mid 20’s to low 30’s. Breezes will shift throughout the evening, eventually becoming southerly at 5-10 mph by morning.
This ridge of high pressure is a pretty slow-moving beast. As it lingers over the western United States we will see our conditions staying sunny and warm. Highs through the middle of the week will be in the low to mid 80’s. A weak system off the California coast will gradually gain some strength over the next few days and begin to push in our direction. By Friday night we will see a few clouds from that system build over Central Oregon. The greatest strength of that system will move to our south, but it will still deliver a slight chance of showers from late Saturday through Sunday. While the chance of showers will break up by Monday you will see highs dipping to the mid to upper 60’s by then, as well.

HAVE A SPARKLING DAY IN CENTRAL OREGON!
