Saving Grace marks Domestic Violence Awareness Month

KTVZ

It is Domestic Violence Awareness Month! Saving Grace is asking you to imagine life without violence and support survivors.

All month long Foxtail Bakeshop & Kitchen in Bend will be showcasing local artist, Addie DeLong’s four part series The Pain of Erosion- The Hope of Healing . This abstract series of paintings was created to represent the erosion of the spirit when violence is used to regain a false sense of control, and to present the hope and healing that can be found in a life without violence. The art is for sale with proceeds benefiting Saving Grace.

We are also excited to partner with the Old Mill District who is displaying purple flags on their footbridge, as purple represents Domestic Violence Awareness Month. They will also have #ThisisDV materials posted onsite.

Survivors in our community need our help and support. If you personally haven’t been affected by domestic violence it is likely you know someone who has. Saving Grace is here for survivors as they embark on their healing journey. Visit lifewithoutviolence.org to learn more about how you can raise awareness and support survivors this month and all year long.
