Local Alert Weather – Mon. PM

KTVZ

Happy Monday evening, everyone!

Tonight we’re looking at a system that has moved down from the north. Winds are gusting out of the north around 15 miles per hour. We have the slight chance for some sprinkles tonight, but mainly for higher elevations. Mostly cloudy skies will be overhead. Overnight lows will be mild and above average due to the clouds bottoming out in the upper 30s and low to mid 40s.

Tomorrow sees cooler daytime highs as that cool air moves into Central Oregon. Highs will be in the low to mid 50s, which is about 10 degrees below normal. Winds will be breezy and gusty at times as clouds break up overhead. Winds will top 30 miles per hour out of the north and northwest. We’re expected to be dry, but could see a sprinkle or two throughout the day.

As we head into Wednesday we’ll see cold overnight lows and will be left with some clouds. Clouds will break up throughout the course of the day on Wednesday and we’ll see sunny skies by Thursday. Wednesday will still be chilly with highs just in the low to mid 60s.

High pressure begins to extend over the region by Thursday and highs will climb into the upper 50s and lower 60s. We’ll see more sunshine and will build in our temperatures heading into Friday.

Temperatures by Friday will peak right around average in the mid to upper 60s. We’re expecting sunny skies to extend through the weekend.
