Warmer Wednesday, increasing rain chances tomorrow

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Mostly cloudy skies will give way to sunshine today.

After a chilly start, temperatures will climb into the low 70s this afternoon. Highs will be about 10 degrees above normal.

Showers will likely arrive after midnight as a low pressure system to the south moves further inland. There is a higher confidence for scattered rain tomorrow, mainly through the morning and afternoon timeframe.

Central Oregon remain in severe to extreme drought, according to the US Drought Monitor. This rain event won’t end the drought, but the added moisture will help.

Highs will reach the low 60s Thursday before dropping into the mid 50s Friday. Cooler, drier air will settle in to end the workweek.

Some of the coldest temperatures of the week are expected early Saturday, with most areas dipping into the 20s.

Saturday and Sunday are looking partly cloudy with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. Expect similar conditions as we head into Monday and Tuesday next week.
