Local Alert Weather – Wed. PM
Happy Wednesday evening, everyone!
High pressure still sits overhead and won’t budge until the end of the weekend. The ridge will flatten out over the next few days, so we’ll see a few more clouds Thursday and Friday, but still mostly sunny skies. Through sunset tonight expect chilly temperatures as the day wraps up and light winds gusting 10 miles per hour.
Hazy skies are expected as smoke hasn’t lifted much from the prescribed burns in the region. We’ll see areas of smoke early tomorrow morning, but clear skies overhead. Overnight we’ll see clear skies through tomorrow morning. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 20s tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow we’ll see mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Our average daytime high is 63 degrees at the airport. Winds will be light out of the north around 10 miles per hour.
Temperatures keep climbing into the low to mid 70s by Friday. We’ll stay sunny and warm through Saturday. Take advantage of the weekend as we’ll see changes next week.
By the end of the weekend the ridge of high pressure breaks down and we’ll see changes with temperatures falling. We’re back to average by Tuesday and will see changes overhead as well. Clouds will increase through the middle of the week. The chance for rain showers develops by Tuesday.
