Local Alert Weather, Fri. AM, 4-12-19

KTVZ

Good Friday Morning, Everyone…

Today we get to enjoy a break between storm systems. Even though we do see a few clouds today we are expecting to stay dry. Daytime highs will reach the mid 50’s and NW winds will be a bit on the breezy side; 5-15 mph gusting to 20 mph. Mostly clear skies tonight will help our lows dip into the upper 20’s; pretty average for this time of year. Light NW breezes in the evening will become light and variable overnight.

Much of Saturday will be under mostly sunny skies with highs once again in the mid 50’s. Clouds will increase late in the day and may yield a few scattered showers. With overnight lows scattered throughout the 30’s most of those potential showers will be in the form of rain. Higher elevations may mix in a little snow and Mt. Bachelor will receive a couple more inches of snow Saturday night and Sunday. Central Oregon will see a few more rain showers Monday, but that will also mark the start of a gradual clearing and warming trend that will have us under sunny skies with highs in the mid 60’s by Thursday.
