Bend police: Missing Lake Oswego man found, OK

(Update: Police say missing man found in Wilsonville in good condition)

A Lake Oswego man reported missing while housesitting in the Bend area has been found in Wilsonville in good condition, police said Thursday.

Bend police had asked the public for any information to determine the whereabouts of Michael Alan Shameklis, 43, who was reported missing on Monday by a friend, Lt. Brian Beekman said.

Around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, a family friend contacted Bend police and told investigators they had found Shameklis in Wilsonville.

Shameklis told family members he had been camping and unable to stay in contact with them during the time he was reported missing.
