Autopsy: Calif. woman fatally stabbed at Medford motel
MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) – An autopsy shows that a California woman killed Friday in a Medford motel room was stabbed to death.
The Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office says 23-year-old Sierra Clemens of Grass Valley, California, died of multiple stab wounds early Friday at the Tiki Lodge in Medford.
Medford police Lt. Mike Budreau says police responding to reports of a disturbance forced their way into the room and heard someone leaving through the bathroom window. Budreau says a police dog found and bit a man hiding in a dumpster nearby.
The Mail Tribune reports 33-year-old Justin Graham-Yaeger was arrested. He has been booked into Jackson County Jail without bail on suspicion of murder.
It wasn’t known if he has a lawyer.
Budreau says police recovered the murder weapon and have ruled out domestic violence in the case.
