Local Alert Weather – Thurs. PM
Happy Thursday evening, everyone!
A FIRE WEATHER WARNING is in effect for the rest of the night. We’re already seeing widespread thunderstorms and will see more lightning. Fire Danger is increased as a result. If a fire were to start it could spread quite rapidly, but we are getting some much needed rain with the storms, too.
Overnight we’ll see a chance for isolated thunderstorms with partly cloudy skies. Low temperatures will be in the low to mid 50s, which is more than 10 degrees above normal.
Friday will start on a calmer note with partly cloudy skies. We could see some thunderstorms towards the north to begin the day. Clouds will increase in the afternoon and I would say we have another slight chance for thunderstorms in the afternoon, but that slighttt chance looks to be in the Cascades. Daytime highs for Friday will be back into the low to mid 80s.
Saturday will see more clouds and another slight chance for thunderstorms at this time. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s. Winds will be gusty at times topping 15 to 25 miles per hour. Overnight into Sunday we’ll see clouds stick around.
Sunday will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy. High temperatures will be significantly cooler in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Temperatures will stay “cooler” for the beginnig of next week.
