Dry and mild start to the week, rain likely to end the week
The bitter cold pattern of this past weekend is behind us and the milder weather is on the way. Expect to see the mercury in the thermometer rise into the low 60s tomorrow after only dipping to the upper 20s overnight.
This is a decent swing in temperatures to start the work week as the lows on Saturday, Sunday, and this morning were in the teens.
The dry pattern of the weekend is also coming to an end, but not until the middle of the week. There will be an introduction of cold rain on Thursday as a frontal boundary moves in from the west. Before the arrival of the front, high pressure will dominate the skies for a couple of days.
The rainy pattern is expected to linger off and on through the weekend as a steady stream of moisture pushes across the area. The temperatures will be on the milder side of normal, so the precipitation will be in the form of rain as snow levels will be above 6500 feet.
Halloween looks to be on the quiet side with the mercury dropping quickly in the evening. Expect to see temps near 50 by 8 pm, but if you head out early, the temps will be in the upper 50s to low 60s. Sunset is around 6 pm. Skies will be partly cloudy.
