Mild pattern remains, spotty light rain overnight, gusty Wednesday

The area is on the mild and dry side, with only slight chances for some light precipitation before sunrise Wednesday.  Winds are the main feature that could cause some issues Wednesday afternoon as gusts near 35 mph are possible.

The lows tonight will once again be in the middle 40s along 97 with southern cities in the middle 30s. There is a slight chance for some light rain before sunrise but that chance is very low.

As the low off the coast will meander and drift over the eastern Pacific through the week. This will allow slight chances of rain from time to time as well as gusty winds.

The warmer than usual pattern remains into Friday as highs stay in the middle to low 50s Wednesday and Thursday.  Expect the slight chance for some light rain and mountain snow to continue into Friday as well.

Friday, Groundhog Day, has a chance for an isolated mix of rain and snow off and on. The rain is the likely feature, a mix is forecast for the morning hours when temperatures will allow.

Dry and seasonable temperatures are likely over the weekend.

Remember, if the Groundhog sees his shadow, it will get scared and run back into the burrow and wait six more weeks. If it is cloudy and no shadow is seen, it looks good for an early spring.
