Where do things stand with the sexual assault case involving 2018 Canada world junior players?
The Associated Press
Four current members of the National Hockey League and a former NHL player have been charged with sexual assault. The allegations stem from their time on Canada’s 2018 world junior hockey team. Attorneys for Carter Hart of the Philadelphia Flyers, Michael McLeod and Cal Foote of the New Jersey Devils, Dillon Dube of the Calgary Flames and Swiss club player Alex Formenton say their clients are innocent. The charges were filed in London, Ontario, after a woman says she was assaulted in a hotel room six years ago. Lawyers for those players appeared before the court Monday.
