Cooler than normal, with mountain snow and High Desert rain showers
The region continues to be under the influence of a steady NW flow of air that is bringing snow to the mountains and rain to the High Desert. This will continue off and on until further notice.
The snow showers will be mainly above the 4,500-foot mark, although some snow will accumulate near the 3,500-foot mark overnight in the colder air. This will be problematic for travel the rest of the week and into the weekend.
Wednesday will be on the chilly side, but should be dry. The next round of trouble will be on Thursday, as the rain and snow return. This will be a much more widespread range. Friday looks to give us a chance for some drying, before more wet weather arrives once again for the weekend.
There will not be much sunshine over the weekend, so be prepared for a gray and dreary scenario.
The cooler than normal pattern continues into next week, along with the chance for some rain and mountain snow. Not really feeling like May!
