(Update: Adding video, comments from organizer)

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- At the Deschutes County Fairgrounds, it was the Roobeez Family Farm Expo on Saturday. The event was held to celebrate local small farms, showcasing what they have to offer from their farms.

It was a family-friendly event, providing activities for your children - creating bird houses and bug hotels.

There were also workshops to take part in, whether you were starting a small farm or interested in it. People got to partake in a rabbit-keeping and seed and planting workshops.

"It's been really amazing to get this support," Cherryl Macalino, Family Farm Expo organizer said. "We have really loved and appreciated everybody's support to support our small farmers. It just means the world to us that they're here."

After gaining knowledge and purchasing goods, you also got to experience live music, and order lunch from the food trucks on hand.
