Brisk winds continue, very warm late week

The winds continue to howl today and into the evening with gusts near 25 to 35 mph at times. There is a mix of clouds and sunshine in the afternoon that will yield to a dry and clear scenario heading into the rest of the week.  Temperatures Tuesday will top out in the low to middle 70s, then rise to the 80s on Wednesday.

The temperatures will be the most noticeable change as we move forward to the weekend. Highs on Thursday will reach the middle 80s followed by temps in the low 90s on Friday in some locations.

There will be some cloud cover expected to arrive on Saturday and a rogue shower is not out of the question near the mountains, but otherwise the weekend looks to be on the warm side.

Normal highs for this time of year are the low 70s so a spike to the upper 80s and low 90s is quite warm.  The record high in Bend for the 7th of June is 92 in 1926 so that record will be approached but probably not broken. The record for the 8th is 90 set in 2016, that too is going to be close.

Remember to stay hydrated in the heat, and never leave kids or pets in your car. Never.
