Warm pattern replaces hot pattern with a brief cool down Thursday
The hot conditions of today will be replaced by a warm pattern for the next several days. The transition to the cooler conditions may bring some breezy weather to the area, but not windy. Regions to our north, along the Columbia River, will be gusty but that should not translate this far south. Highs Wednesday will be in the low 80s most Central Oregon locations under partly sunny skies.
The overall pattern will be dry, but some areas well to the east may be rainy or stormy Wednesday. There are some conflicting reports about the extent of the storms, but generally I am seeing isolated storms well away from the tri-counties.
Thursday will be a quiet and cooler day as the mercury only tops out in the low 70s. La Pine and Sisters may only see upper 60s under variably cloudy skies. This cool down will be short lived as the area returns to the 80s on Friday and will stay there through the weekend.
Saturday and Sunday will be a mix of clouds and sunshine with some light winds. A pleasant weekend is in store for Central Oregon as we close out the month of June on a dry and near normal note.
