Heating up this Fourth of July

Good Thursday morning!

It's going to be hot this Fourth of July with the majority of the region seeing temperatures in the 90s. If you're going to be spending a lot of time outside, make sure to protect yourself. Drink lots of water and wear sunscreen. It's also a good idea to pack a hat or sunglasses.

We're expecting great conditions for tonight's firework show. Temperatures will range from the 70s to 80s, with clear skies.

A Heat Advisory has been issued for much of Central Oregon beginning Friday afternoon with temperatures in the 90s to low 100s. It will remain in effect until Tuesday night, but the heat wave could continue.

An extended period of hot temperatures can mean risk for heat illnesses or high fire danger. Please be careful. We could see some record breaking temperatures over this period.

Enjoy the holiday!
