Triple digit temperatures today

Good Monday morning!

There's no relief from the heat yet. The work week will start off hot, with afternoon highs reaching the triple digits. We are significantly above average, as highs typically reach the low 80s during this time of year. I wouldn't be surprise if we continue to break more records with this heat.

We remain under an Excessive Heat Warning until 10 PM on Wednesday. Heat-related illnesses rise significantly during these events, so please take precautions. The lack of rainfall and low humidity also increases the risk of fire danger during this time.

As we head into the overnight hours, temperatures will only drop into the 50s and 60s.

The hottest temperatures of this long duration heatwave are expected tomorrow.

Enjoy the rest of your day and protect yourself out there!
