Hot and dry pattern persists
As of this morning, there are no heat alerts (advisories, watches, or warnings) in effect for Central Oregon. The heat dome responsible for our heatwave is moving east, but we will continue to experience hot temperatures for the next several days.
Similar to yesterday, most parts of the region will top out in the 90s.
Although we are not under a Fire Weather Warning, fire danger is still a concern with this heatwave. We’ve seen fires occurring regularly for the past couple of days. It’s easy for fires to spread with the combination of hot and dry air along with breezy conditions. Keep this in mind.
Expect mostly clear skies tonight with overnight lows in the 50s.
Temperatures are still above normal for this time of year which is low to mid 80s. Friday, Saturday and Sunday has us sitting in the upper 90s to triple digits. We can expect more moisture over the weekend bringing an increase in clouds to the region.
Please monitor the alert banner at the top of the page for any updates to our heat and fire weather alerts.
