Fire weather concerns remain due to current weather pattern

Good morning and happy Monday!

We have a hot start to the work week with temperatures mostly in the 90s. This trend is expected to continue over the next several days. As of this morning, there are no heat alerts in effect, but we will keep you updated if any are issued soon.

Because of our current weather pattern, fire danger remains a concern. Wildfires have been breaking out across Oregon, with some expanding to tens of thousands of acres or more. Breezy conditions may also bring more smoke into our area, impacting air quality.

Expect more cloud cover moving into tomorrow. There's also a slight chance of thunderstorms in our area Tuesday night, but since it's so dry, it's unlikely that rain will reach the surface. We're watching out for dry lightning, which increases the risk of wildfires.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
