Lingering showers this morning, hot and dry

Good morning everyone!

The heat continues this Wednesday with temperatures ranging mainly from the low to upper 90s. We were cloudy overnight, but we should be clearing up later this morning.

We’re also under a Red Flag Warning until 9am due to strong winds, low relative humidity, and high temperatures.

Showers and isolated thunderstorms that developed yesterday are expected to continue this morning. Any lightning strikes combined with the current weather conditions could ignite a new fire.

Be extra cautious while camping or recreating in the region. We are trying to prevent anymore wildfires from igniting because they could grow rapidly.

We're not expecting any shower activity moving into Thursday, but we will remain hot and dry. The 90° heat will continue into the middle of next week, and there is a chance we get back to the century mark over the weekend.

Protect yourself from the heat! Enjoy the rest of your day.
