US Highway 97 reopens after reported injury crash about four miles north of Terrebonne

ODOT TripCheck

TERREBONNE, Ore. (KTVZ) – A reported injury crash closed U.S. Highway 97 for a time late Thursday afternoon about four miles north of Terrebonne, officials said.

The crash was reported about 4:20 p.m. near milepost 112, about four miles north of Terrebonne, ODOT’s TripCheck indicated. Motorists were urged to use an alternate route.

The highway was reopened shortly after 5 p.m., but the TripCheck camera pointing north at Ogden Wayside south of the crash scene still showed a traffic backup.

Initial unconfirmed scanner reports indicated it may have been the second of two rear-end crashes in the area in less than a half-hour, the first involving several vehicles and less serious injuries.

We have reached out to Oregon State Police and ODOT for more details and will update as warranted,
