Comfortable today with good air quality

When our Air Quality Advisory over Deschutes County expired last night, it was the first time since July 9th that no Air Quality Advisory was in place for at least one part of Oregon- that’s 42 days! Cooler temperatures, higher relative humidity, and cloudier skies have all helped to mitigate the smoke and aid firefighting efforts. Air quality today looks to be good for our region once again.

Today should be mostly sunny, highs in the upper 70s and low 80s. You can expect this same pattern tomorrow. Lows tonight will be in the 40s.

There’s a chance for showers tonight to the northeast and a smaller chance along the Cascades. I don’t think we’ll see any over us until Thursday.

As a low pressure deepens over our region by Thursday, and with the arrival of a cold front Thursday night, rain showers are expected throughout the region for a couple days. Chances for showers will start to taper off on Saturday. The possibility of thunderstorms accompanying these showers will be small, and more focused along the mountains, but an isolated storm or two for us could occur on Thursday evening.

Happy Tuesday, have a great rest of your day.
