Mild day before we heat up into the weekend

Today looks to be a calm day with little going on in the way of weather. Highs today still in the 70s. Lows tonight on the brisk side, in the 30s and 40s. Winds will be light and variable. Air quality is good again today. It will be a dry and sunny summer day.

A ridge of high pressure is currently moving in off of our coast and will continue to build over the next day. This pattern will remain with us for few days which is going to allow us to heat up. We’ll heat up almost 10 degrees each day from now until the end of the week, putting us in the 90s by Friday. Normal temperatures this time of year are around 80 degrees, so we’ll be quite a bit above that. We’ll remain in the 90s and upper 80s through the entire weekend. Remember to drink lots of water this holiday weekend and stay safe from the heat.

Sunny skies are expected for the next few days. We will see clouds increase on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday will be mostly cloudy. The clouds should begin to clear out by the start of next week.

Happy Wednesday!
