Bentz, US House subcommittee to hold Redmond field hearing next week on Central Oregon water supply issues
REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Next Tuesday, U.S. House Subcommittee on Natural Resources Water, Wildlife, and Fisheries Chairman Cliff Bentz (R-Ore.) and Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-Ore.) are holding an oversight hearing in Redmond titled, “It All Depends on Water: Examining Efforts to Improve and Protect Central Oregon’s Water Supply.”
Recently adopted revisions to state groundwater allocation rules have many Central Oregon officials concerned about having adequate water supplies to meet future growth needs.
