Fall Festival’s Great Bark Bash to feature three tail-wagging dog races; competitors sought
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Bend Fall Festival’s The Great Bark Bash is featuring three exciting races that will have tails wagging and spectators cheering: the Weiner Dog Race, the Running of the Bull(dog)s and the Corgi Crush!
The races are open to purebred Dachshunds, Bulldogs (English), French Bulldogs and Corgis. Online registration ($20) closes Saturday, October 5 at noon. Late registration ($25) on Sunday, October 6 is from 11am to noon.
For a tail-wagging good time, join us Sunday, October 6 when the family fun races begin at noon. Spectators are free, but dog treats or any cash donation will help the animals at the Humane Society of Central Oregon.

Running of the Bulldogs: Bulldozing the Competition! The Bend Fall Festival is turning up the heat with the Running of the Bull(dog)s. Watch these robust bulldogs show off their strength and determination as they thunder down the track. Competitors must be purebred Bulldog (English Bulldog) or French Bulldog. The Running of the Bull(dog)s begins at noon.
Weiner Dog Race: Dash to Victory! Dachshunds of all sizes and colors will gather to compete in the eagerly anticipated Weiner Dog Race. Cheer on your favorite four-legged friend as they chase the title of fastest wiener dog in town! Dachshunds begin their dash at 1:00om. Competitors must be purebred miniature or standard Dachshunds.
Corgi Crush: Corgi ears and rears will be flying down the race course to see who is crowned top dog. Corgi’s will begin flying down the course at 2:00pm.
This fantastic event isn't just about fun and games; it's also for a great cause. All proceeds from the registration fees, set at just $20, will go towards supporting the Humane Society of Central Oregon (HSCO). HSCO is an organization with extensive experience in all aspects of the race, ensuring the welfare and safety of all participating dogs. Sponsored by Bend Pet Express, and East Bend Animal Hospital will be there for the safety of the competitors.
