Wet pattern ahead after another sunny and above normal day today

Today will be very comfortable for this time of year. Highs will climb into the low to mid 60s. Average high temperature is in the low 50s, so we are well above that. It should be another day with clear skies, making it another great day to get outside! Lows tonight won’t be as cold as we’ve seen this week, only reaching the low to mid 30s.

Clouds start to roll in overnight as a weak low pressure system moves in. Due to the placement and strength of the system, the chances that Central Oregon sees rain from it are pretty slim. We should remain mostly dry through the weekend with only a slight chance of rain Saturday and Sunday evening.

Highs will be in the 50s through the weekend under cloudy skies.

Looking ahead, early next week is when the chance for rain looks more promising. A larger low pressure system and a cold front will swing through on the morning of Veteran’s Day which, together, have the strength to provide us with some rain.

Rain and a wintry mix are expected Tuesday and Wednesday as well as some more mountain snow. We could see rain continue through the second half of next week as well. I’ll continue to track that as we head into next week.

Happy Friday and have an amazing weekend!
