Spotty showers and mountain snow continue today before we start to dry out
Highs today will be similar to what we’ve seen all week, topping out in the 40s and 50s. Lows tonight will get a bit cooler than last night, dropping into the 20s for just about everyone. We will start the morning with some gusty weather lingering from yesterday, but the winds should calm a bit through the afternoon.
You are likely waking up to some frost this morning on your cars, and possibly some slick roads in La Pine and Sunriver. Be careful and give yourself some extra time this morning just in case.
Light, spotty showers are in the forecast for today. They will taper off into the evening and snow showers will lighten up along the mountains. Snow along the Cascades should only accumulate a couple more inches today. Mt. Bachelor’s early open is tomorrow, and it looks like the base depth will be nearing 30” by the time you head up. All the fresh powder this week will make for perfect skiing and boarding conditions.
The low pressure bringing the rain the last couple days will exit, and Friday will be dry with clearing skies. However, temperatures will drop into the low 40s with some not even reaching 40.
Saturday will also be dry. Cloud cover will increase progressively ahead of Sunday’s rain and snow.
Happy Thursday. Have a great day!
