Winter Storm Warning issued November 17 at 2:45PM PST until November 18 at 10:00PM PST by NWS Pendleton OR

* WHAT…Heavy snow expected mainly along the Cascade crest with
additional snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches. Lower
elevations including LaPine, Sunriver, Sisters and Camp Sherman
will see lesser amounts of snow of 1 to 4 inches. Winds gusting as
high as 35 mph may cause some blowing snow mainly along the
Cascade crest.

* WHERE…East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades.

* WHEN…Until 10 PM PST Monday.

* IMPACTS…Heavy snowfall and very low visibility will create
extremely dangerous driving conditions. Gusty winds could bring
down tree branches.
Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter
storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains,
booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing.
Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help
you survive in case you become stranded.

Do not touch downed lines and report any power outages to your
electric company. Travel is highly discouraged due to slick roadways
and the possibility of downed trees and power lines.
