The Rosendin Foundation donates nearly $84,000 to six Central Oregon nonprofits
PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Rosendin Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded to make a positive impact on communities through financial grants and volunteer work, donated $83,550 to six charitable organizations in Central Oregon. The nonprofits support the local community in many ways such as fighting food insecurity, empowering individuals, helping children and young adults, and more.
On November 15, The Rosendin Foundation celebrated all six nonprofit organizations and distributed the grants at the Prineville office of electrical contractor and sister company, Rosendin.
Among the larger gifts, The Rosendin Foundation presented a $25,450 grant to The Peaceful Presence Project, a nonprofit focused on end of life care, and $25,000 to Heart of Oregon Corps, a job training and education program for young adults.
“The Rosendin Foundation is a driving force in advancing construction and occupational health and safety training within our YouthBuild program!” said Leanna Williams, Development Director at Heart of Oregon Corps. “We are incredibly grateful for partners like Rosendin, who not only understand the transformative power of education and skill development but also recognize its importance here in Central Oregon. With Rosendin’s support, we’re building confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose in the future workforce!”
The Rosendin Foundation also gave $14,100 to Humane Society of the Ochocos and $9,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bend to support its Family Plus program.
“This funding will allow us to recruit more mentors, reach more youth in need, and cover key costs like mandatory, annual background checks for our staff and volunteers. With their support, we’re enhancing the mental health and well-being of our Club members and creating a safe, nurturing space where they can truly thrive,” said Bess Goggins, CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bend. “It’s partnerships like this that help us grow as an organization and deepen our impact in the Bend community for our families who need us most.”
In addition, The Rosendin Foundation provided $5,000 checks to representatives from SetPath, a mentoring program for young adults and The Giving Plate, a Bend food pantry that assists hundreds of local families.
"The Rosendin Foundation is proud to support these organizations because they are committed to providing valuable programs that help people live happier and healthier lives,” said Jolsna Thomas, president of The Rosendin Foundation. "We want to thank everyone who supports these organizations, especially Rosendin employees who give generously and donate their time and construction skills to help others in the community.”
Under Thomas’ leadership, The Rosendin Foundation’s 2024 annual distribution grant cycle broke records, with $2.3 million gifted to 116 nonprofits nationwide that focus on emotional, nutritional and occupational health. Volunteer projects include building children’s beds, stuffing backpacks with school supplies, and hosting TRF Camp Build, an annual kids construction camp.
