Mild and sunny today before the big, weekend cool down

Today is our last mild day of the week. Temperatures will be nearly 10 degrees above normal, in the upper 40s and low 50s. Skies will be mostly clear. It will be a bit breezier today, with gusts around 15 to 20mph–nothing overwhelming, but noticeable.

Again, there is a chance for some patchy freezing fog this morning. Be precautious as you get out on the roads in case you suddenly run into a patch.

Whether you enjoy riding your bike, walking your dog, or hiking, today will be the day to get outside and do it. A big cool down is expected tomorrow.

On Friday, cold arctic air gets funneled into our region and our temperatures drop into the 30s. The dry weather and sunshine will stick around, but not the comfortable temperatures. We remain in the 30s for the entire weekend and into early next week before temperatures climb back to near-normal.

Happy Thursday. Have a nice day!
