Rain moves in later today with chance for isolated thunderstorms
Good Friday morning!
We have issued a Local Alert Weather Day beginning Friday evening and ending Saturday evening. Our goal is to keep you safe and alert you to any weather that might impact your upcoming plans.

We're in for a warm Friday with highs ranging from the mid 70s to low 80s. This warmer than normal pattern is a result of a ridge of high pressure along the west coast.
Changes are on the way as we head into the weekend, with a significant cool down tomorrow. That ridge will shift east, making way for a trough to dip down into Southern California tonight into Saturday. As a result, this will bring cooler air to the Pacific Northwest along with showers and thunderstorms.
Showers are expected to move in later this afternoon. Nothing severe is expected, but there is a chance for some heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning underneath any potential storms.
Rain will continue through Saturday afternoon with the chance for mountain snow early in the weekend. Futuretrack Rainfall totals shows that some areas could pick up between half an inch to an inch of rain by the end of Saturday.
The weekend will be cooler, in the 50s and low 60s at times. We should be clear of rain by Sunday.
A good deal of snowmelt is expected due to our warmer temperatures. Adding more rain on top of this could cause creeks and streams to run fast and full, raising the risk for minor flooding.
