Temperatures stay above normal moving through the week

Today started out with plenty of sunshine, with some cloud cover moving in as the day is expected late in the day.  The chance for rain is low, but we have been seeing some rain moving through southern Deschutes County this evening, near La Pine.

The other story that defines the weather this week will be the above normal temperatures. Nothing like what is being experienced in the eastern half of the United States, we should only be a few degrees above normal after today.

Highs on Wednesday are likely to be in the low 80s, which is above the normal 76-degree temperatures for mid-June.  Expect to see a mix of clouds and sun along with a breeze from the west at around 10 – 12 mph.

Thursday will be slightly cooler, but still above normal by a couple of degrees.  A bit breezy, but not windy and we should see a good deal of sunshine.

Friday looks to be slightly warmer and will be the beginning of a warming trend that will last through the weekend and into next week. Highs near 80 Friday followed by low to middle 80s Saturday then the 90s on Sunday.

The heat remains in play to start next week as the last few days of June will be in the 90s.  Well down the road we are not seeing much in the way of rain, so our summer dry pattern seems to be in full gear. Stay hydrated and in the shade once in a while to stay cooler.

Please stay safe and have fun.
