Temperatures stay warm into the weekend, hot temperatures just around the corner

For the remainder of the work week, temperatures will drop a couple degrees each day, but are expected to remain above normal. Highs today  will be in the upper 70s and low 80s. Thursday and Friday, temperatures will be within a couple degrees of normal with most areas in the mid to upper 70s with the exception for a couple areas to hit 80.

There is a chance for isolated storms to develop further north and east, into the Blue Mountains but Central Oregon should stay clear of storms today. Look for variably cloudy skies this afternoon and breezy winds, gusting between 20-25mph.

Temperatures heat back up for the weekend, with highs in the 80s and low 90s. The hot pattern will continue into the first part of next week.

Chances for rain in the next seven days are pretty slim, but some models are indicating a few stray showers early next week. Confidence is low in that forecast so we’ll call it partly cloudy for the time being. The bigger story will be the heat.

Have a great Wednesday!
