Furry Friends: Rocco the Doberman has a heart of gold

This week's Furry Friend is Rocco, a 6-year-old Doberman looking for his forever home at Brightside Animal Center in Redmond.

Rocco is blind in both eyes but he doesn't let that slow him down in the slightest!

"While he's been here with us, he's been amazing. We don't necessarily consider them downfalls, he is blind for the most part. He can see shadows. He came to us like that and we did do some surgeries to help alleviate the pain. But he has no idea that (he's blind). He still loves playing with toys, loves going on walks, loves being in the play yard," said Hannah Loftis, the shelter manager at Brightside. "I would definitely suggest a home on his own just so his future family is able to care for him. He has had a few friends here that are more on the mellow side that he likes to just walk with, but he can get a little startled easily. So it might be in his best interest to be in a home on his own where he can be cared for and have all the toys in love."

Rocco is a sweet, silly boy who just needs a little extra assistance.

He does need eye drops daily, but the Brightside staff can fill an interested adopter in on all of those details!
