Local Alert Weather Days this week

KTVZ

There will be isolated thunderstorms the rest of the week, with each day becoming a bit more robust than the previous day. The Local Alert Weather Team has issued a rare three days in a row "Local Alert Days" Each Day will be a little different, but each day brings along isolated storms, gusty winds and high fire danger.
Today is just a preamble of what we can expect over the next few days. We have fallen into a persistent pattern of afternoon storms that will last until Thursday.

Our Local Alert Days are issued to make you aware of the potential weather issues that are expected in the Tri-Counties.

We have two levels, Yellow and Red. Red will be issued, with respect to summer storms, when there is a threat of severe storms. Severe storms are those that generate winds near 60 mph and or 1" hail. Obviously a tornado will get the storm severe as well. The level for this week are Yellow, be weather aware and keep an eye to the sky.

Stay safe.
