Warm and breezy Saturday before big temperature drop on Sunday in Central Oregon

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Howdy all! We're in for a great Saturday across Central Oregon, with warm temperatures and a bit of a breeze. Highs will climb into the upper 60s, well above our average of 54 degrees for this time of year. It will feel great outside, so you'll want to spend some of your day outdoors, if you're in to that sort of thing. It will also be breezy, with gusts around 20-25 mph throughout the day. Nothing too concerning, but certainly enough to notice! Perhaps take some time today to straighten up any decor, or bring some stuff inside so it doesn't get blown away.

Winds will actually pick up a bit more overnight Saturday into Sunday, with peak gusts reaching around 30-35 mph in spots. By Sunday, they'll ease back to around 20-25 mph before calming down later in the afternoon, around 4 p.m. and beyond. We'll also see a big temperature drop Sunday as our next weather system moves through, bringing those stronger winds along with it. Highs will only be in the low 50s for Sunday, which will be noticeably cooler after a warm Saturday.

We could also see a passing shower or two on Sunday, but much of the moisture is expected to get absorbed by the mountains to our west. If anything does make it over the Cascades, only a few communities may pick up a light sprinkle. Nothing too substantial is expected across the High Desert.

Looking ahead, temperatures will warm back up above average through Veterans Day on Wednesday. We'll keep tracking the latest right here on KTVZ.com!
