Local Alert Weather Day Saturday

KTVZ-TV

Central Oregon is about to begin a run of several days with afternoon high temperatures reaching the 90s. This is a time when we need to be aware of the heat and plan our day accordingly. If you are exercising, it would be best to do that in the early morning. If you are working outside, make sure to take frequent breaks. If you are outside during this run of hot days, stay hydrated.

The peak heating will be on Saturday, which is our Local Alert Weather Day. Friday through next Wednesday will be well above normal temperature-wise so prepare for an extended period of high heat for this time of year. Normal high temperatures for late August are the low 80s.
