Local Alert Day today: Third Alert Day in a Row

A series of weather events pushed through the region began Friday with the wind and was followed Saturday with the rain and wind. Today we are dealing with snow on the mountains and gusty winds.

The event today is more impactful for the mountain locations and passes as the snow level has dropped below the pass levels, to around 4000 feet. Slick roads Sunday morning and some light snow has impacted the region. More of an inconvenience than anything else, but there are still dangers to be dealt with today.

Still have the Winter Weather Advisory in place through the rest of the day, but may be allowed to expire early over the high desert, maintaining the alert for the Cascades into the night.

Expect to see some snow bursts and showers to linger into the late afternoon today. They will be spotty and brief, but could reduce visibility on area roads.

Ice was an issue in some spots this morning as well, and you may have had to scrape your windshield off early this morning. An early taste of winter this weekend.
