Warming up this weekend as rainy period has ended
(KTVZ, Bend Ore). Dry and cool today, but a warmer pattern is setting up for the weekend and the beginning of next week.
High pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere is going to develop this weekend and will warm the lower levels. This ridge of high pressure will provide the west coast with dry and mild conditions through next week.

Saturday will be mostly sunny and dry with highs returning to the 60s. Winds will be light and variable as the region enters into the new mild pattern.
Sunday will be a few degrees warmer as the ridge begins establish dominance over the western United States. Winds will pick up slightly Sunday, but only to 10 – 15 mph range. So Breezy with plenty of sunshine will describe the day.
Monday will be the mildest of this above normal run as highs reach the middle to upper 60s under sunny skies. A few clouds arrive at times, but generally the dry and mild regime remains.
The ridge will continue to be in charge through at least Tuesday as highs once again stay in the 60s.
Clouds begin to overtake the area late Wednesday ahead of some rain on Thursday. The rain Thursday will begin before sunrise and last most of the day. Friday will see the skies clearing slowly as the rain exits to the east. Even with the rain Thursday, the mercury in the thermometer will hit the 60s most locations.
