Major Redmond road closure ahead – here’s what drivers need to know before next week

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) — The City of Redmond will close SW Lake Road near the intersection of Veterans Way from January 5 through January 7, 2026. The closure is necessary to excavate and install sewer facilities in preparation for a new roundabout at Veterans Way and Airport Way, scheduled for construction in the spring of 2026.

This marks the beginning of the third phase of the city’s Eastside Arterial Project and will include multiple construction impacts to the traveling public — most notably, a 10‑week closure of SE Veterans Way from SW Lake Road to SE Airport Way in March 2026.

This is a busy area, and drivers are asked to plan for potential delays when traveling nearby. The roundabout is tentatively scheduled for completion in the fall of 2026.

Traffic impacts will be posted on the city’s Road Closures and Delays Map, available at www.redmondoregon.gov/trafficimpacts.
