BEND, Ore. -- The mother of the 7-year-old girl wounded in the Silver Rail Elementary shooting that claimed the lives of three classmates and a teacher thanked everyone for their support and donations Friday, in the wake of a "nightmare" shared by so many.

"Hi everyone, this is Saylor's mom, Danielle," Danielle Graham said in a brief update on the GoFundMe page where nearly 14,000 donations have been received. More than $726,000 have been given, closing in on the current $750,000 goal to help Saylor Graham-Poarch and her family.

"I just wanted to reach out and say thank you for everyone who has donated or shared her story," Graham continued in a posting where she also shared a photo of her daughter holding a stuffed animal in her hospital bed.

"This has been a nightmare, not just for us but other families also," the girl's mother continued.

"Saylor has been out (of the) ICU for a few days and is taking (it) day by day," Graham said. "Thank you all for thinking about her and our family."
