OSU-Cascades continues community tours through 2026
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — Oregon State University–Cascades will continue offering its popular community tour program throughout 2026, responding to strong interest from the Central Oregon community as the campus continues to grow.
The free tours are offered monthly, typically on the fourth Friday of each month, and are open to groups of 12 to 24 people. Tours run from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and advance registration is required.
Guided by OSU–Cascades staff, the tours begin with a classroom session highlighting the campus’s history, the role of community supporters, current academic programs, and the long-term vision for the university.
Participants also take a short walking tour through Tykeson Hall and Edward J. Ray Hall, where they learn about the campus’s net-zero energy, water, and waste goals. Along the way, visitors can view some of the nearly 40 pieces of public art displayed across campus.
The tour also offers a look at ongoing development, including land remediation efforts transforming a former pumice mine and demolition landfill into buildable land for future academic buildings, student housing, and an innovation district.
Tour dates for 2026 include Jan. 23, Feb. 27, Mar. 27, April 24, May 22, June 26, July 24, Aug. 28, Sept. 25, Oct. 23, and Nov. 20.
More information and registration details are available through OSU–Cascades.
