Kiwanis clubs launch ‘Battle of the Buns’ baby wipe drive

CENTRAL OREGON (KTVZ) -- Local Kiwanis clubs in Central Oregon are sparking friendly rivalry with the "Battle of the Buns," a baby wipe collection drive to support families facing hygiene gaps.

According to the club, about one-third of families here rely on assistance programs that cover basic needs but often limit supplies like baby wipes, typically providing just one pack per month regardless of household size.

The competition pits clubs against each other to collect the most wipes, with a goal of 500 packs benefiting Central Oregon Baby Resources (COBR).

Donations will reach COBR's partner organizations across the Tri-County area, helping families with young children access essential hygiene items. As one organizer noted, "Of course, it is the babies that will win."

The drive runs February 11 through February 28 throughout Central Oregon. Learn more and find drop-off details at www.centraloregonbabyresources.org.
