Snow Report: Windy and snowy day, more snow this week

Most of the issues across the Cascades this season have been the lack of snow and milder than normal temperatures. Today we have the snow, but the wind is causing trouble. Lift status has been impacted most locations today at one time or another, but the snow is coming down. The rest of the week will still be brisk or blustery, but we are looking at more snow each day. Not a lot of new snow, possibly only an inch at Bachelor, but Mt. Hood and Timberline will see significant snow added to the slopes. Friday night brings another chance for snow south toward Mt. Bachelor and Willamette Pass, so Saturday will be a great day to ride the powder. Stay safe and check with your resort of choice to find out hours of operation and restrictions.

A little warmer at Mt. Hood, but a lot more snow is falling north of Santiam Pass
