Snow Report: Mid-Week Snow for the Higher Elevations

Enjoy the dry roads for now. We’ve got a clear start to the week, but the National Weather Service is tracking a system that'll bring some winter weather back to the higher elevations by Wednesday night.

The Forecast:

  • Mon–Tue: Mostly clear and dry. Great for getting outside before the shift.
  • Wednesday Night: Precipitation moves into higher areas like Sisters, Sunriver, and La Pine, starting as a rain/snow mix.
  • Thursday: This is the main event. Moderate snow accumulations are expected at the passes and on the peaks through Thursday night.
  • The Totals: While the lower elevations might just see a messy mix, the mountains are looking at some measurable snow before things clear out Friday.

Road Check: If you’re heading over Santiam or Willamette Pass on Thursday, just be ready for typical winter driving conditions.

The Weekend Payoff:
The good news? This system moves through fast. We’re looking at a bluebird Friday, and by Saturday, we should be right back into the mid-60s.
