Snow Report: Spring Corn and High-Elevation Sun

While the valley floor enjoys 70-degree temperatures, our mountain peaks are offering some of the best spring skiing of the season.

Photo Courtesy of Mt. Bachelor | Blue skies and spring vibes at Sunrise Lodge! Skiers and riders are out soaking up the sun and enjoying those smooth High Desert turns. It’s a classic April day on the mountain.

After the recent early-April storm that brought nearly a foot of fresh powder to the Cascades, we are transitioning into a classic "freeze-thaw" cycle that is perfect for those hunting for spring corn.

Safety Reminder: With the "freeze-thaw" cycle in effect, morning surfaces at resorts can be extremely icy and fast. Please keep your speed in check until the sun has a chance to soften the top layer.

Whether you're hitting the trails or just soaking up the sun, enjoy every bit of this High Desert warmth while it lasts!
